FAQ

What is hydro jetting?

Hydro jetting is the use of high-pressured water to blast debris and buildup in utility pipes and plumbing. In the past, rodding was the preferred method of pipe cleaning which involved powering a hole through the blockage in a pipe. However, this would cause recurring backups as pipes were never truly cleaned.

Hydro jetting uses pressurized water and gravity to force debris and blockages free from pipe walls and all the way through the pipe where the slurry can be collected and vacuumed away. Hydro jetting is commonly used in combination with hydrovac equipment as both jetting and hydrovac involve the use of pressurized water and a vacuum.

What are the benefits of hydro jetting?

Unlike rodding or any other form of pipe or sewer line cleaning, hydro jetting ensures the entire blockage is removed making recurring back ups less likely. This means you are less likely to have to pay for recurring plumbing services, and the risk of property damage from a backed up pipe is eliminated.

Keep in mind, hydro jetting involves blasting pressurized water through a small area. You want to be sure the technician you hire is highly trained in order to avoid damage to the pipe or line in need of cleaning.

Who do you provide hydro jetting services for?

Kinetic serves clients of all sizes. We utilize the most advanced equipment and latest technology available today. No matter how simple or complex, we can help you maximize the lifetime of the pipeline infrastructure under your control.
